Issue / Question:
In July of ’08, after an overheating event, the head gaskets, manifold gaskets, valves, and water tank were replaced along with the engine being flushed. Now, there is a lot of rust in the coolant. I am being told that it is coming from my block. It was at about 90,000 miles and I have put at least 8,000 more since the major repair. The car runs great. Should I be concerned? Will re-flushing the engine help? By the way your radio show is terrific!

Answer:
Keep flushing it until it stays clean even if you just run straight water for a while. Then the coolant will neutralize the rust.
