Car Information:
Nissan/Altima
Year: 2002
Engine Size: 2.5
Trans: Automatic

Issue / Question:
This vehicle has been in to the dealer in 2004 to have sensors replaced on their safety recall (engine quitting while driving). Now it is doing it again. The dealer feels it has the same parts failure again, but he wants me to pay for it. Because it is a safety issue, and the same parts failure, aren’t they required to cover the parts and labor this time again? What are the rules? Thank you.

Answer:
Unless there’s a special policy adjustment by the manufacturer the replacement parts have a 1 year 12,000 mile warranty.
