Trans: Automatic

Issue / Question:
The truck will not start when hot. Also it will not accelerate some times when stepping on the accelerator. I have changed the fuel filter and fuel pump. It starts ok when cold and when I wait about an hour. I can’t find anything wrong or no codes.

Answer:

This usually is caused by a bad injector pressure regulator. Also a leak in one of the internal oil supply lines can cause low oil supply pressure at the injectors and cause hard hot start. Most likely it’s going to require an injector pressure and oil supply pressure test to see which it is.
