I bought my car at 80K. It’s now 98K, the alt belt looks new, so is it worth (cost-wise) to check the timing belt? And what’s the cost of the Timing Belt service, belts, water pump, etc, do you also replace any seals, balancer seal, and oil pump seal?

It would be in your best interest to have the cover removed and the belt inspected. Since it’s due or if it’s been done it should be easy to tell if the components are new!

The car only has 38K miles on  it.  My question  is do I need to change the timing belt as the manual says to change after 8 years or 120,000 miles.  Given the minimal usage, am  I at risk by not changing it yet?

Does my car have timing belt or chain? If Belt, the car more than likely needs to be changed what would be the cost. Also the recall item of auto off of the speed control.
