Water Leak in Metal Tubing
Car Information:
Oldsmobile Silhouette APV
Year: 1998
Engine Size: 3.4 Litre
Trans: Automatic
Issue / Question:
I have a water leak in the metal tubing that runs from the front of the engine to the back and the medal tubing that goes over the engine to the back. I believe they connect to the heaters hoses. Can I block those off? If so. Where? I know I won’t have heat. But I don’t care.
Answer:
The bypass hoses coming off this pipe as well and by passing plugging off a bad place may not be possible. We checked and GM states this pipe is not offered any longer as a normal part number.
There may be a possibility we can make a pipe out of copper and install all necessary by pass ports. If you get it to us we will figure something out.
