New Armada making slight engine noise

Issue / Question:
We purchased this vehicle, New. It now has 22,000 miles. Always serviced! Now it has a very slight lifter noise. Dealership tech says no big deal. Would like to know if there is an engine oil additive that would help to quiet this noise.

Answer:
Ask to listen to the motor of another Armada, if it does not make the same noise it is a big deal. Most likely there’s a valve adjustment issue they are trying to pass off until the vehicle is out of power train warranty. There’s no additive that’s going to decrease clearances.
