Changing the Anti-Freeze in Chevy Malibu

Car Information:
Chevrolet Malibu
Year: 2005
Engine Size: 6 cylinder
Trans: Automatic

Issue / Question:
I need to change out the anti-freeze on my 2005 Chevrolet Malibu, but I can not find the radiator cap or drain plug. Any suggestion on how to change the anti-freeze on this model. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. What happen to the good ‘ol days when you could open your hood and see the radiator cap right in front of you and just know the drain plug was on the bottom of the radiator. I miss the old Buick now. Ha! Ha! Thanks.

Answer:
The newer vehicles are now made to be flushed and filled with a machine, we have to add a flush extension into the upper hose to perform the service.

Anti- Freeze

Car Information:
PT Cruiser
Year: 2002
Engine Size:
Trans: Automatic

Issue / Question:
My last oil change indicated my anti-freeze level was ok. I have driven approximately 1000 miles since then and my radiator overheated. It was about 1/2 gal of anti-freeze low. I can not see where any leaking has happened. What should I do?

Answer:
We would suggest a flow test to make sure there is no restrictions then a pressure test and if no external leaks are found, we would run a block test to see if compression gases are entering the cooling system.
