Issue / Question:
I drive to work and it’s 20 miles from my house. When I coast at a light or about to stop my car stalls and eventually shuts down. I start the car again and it turns on just fine, but when I apply the accelerator it will not move. It will start just fine when, but putting it in drive to go it shuts off. I wait about 5 minutes for it to cool off. It will take off as if nothing happened. If it stalls again, I let it cool off again and I can drive it for a while then it happens all over again. This is only when driving long distances. The check engine light never came on until March 12,2010. I’ve driven the car for two weeks with this problem. Every mechanic I know doesn’t know what the problem is when I explain it. They drove the car and said they can’t find any thing wrong with it. They don’t drive the distance I’ve given them. They say “I don’t see that you have a problem”.

Answer:
