Issue / Question:
My sons IS 300’s rear brakes are scratching the rotor on the outer edge. Is this a hard fix? Do I need any special tools? I have done front Chevy and Plymouth disk brakes. Just looking at the Lexus I see a pin, 2 (torq head) bolts, a shield and anti rattle pin. Do i need any tool besides a clamp to compress the piston on the caliper? To remove the rotor will it just come off? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:
Other than the caliper pins and maybe a Torx I can’t think of anything special. The E-brakes should be on the inside of the rotors and the pistons should compress like on older cars.
