Car Information:
Chevy Suburban
Year: 2005
Engine Size: 5.3
Trans: Automatic

Issue / Question:
Starts hard after running a while. Always starts but usually takes 2 turns of the key. Once its running it runs great.

Answer:
It could be a bad one way check valve in the fuel pump. If it sticks and does not seal it will allow fuel to return to the tank when the vehicle isn’t running then when you go to restart you have to crank and chase all the air out of the fuel system and re prime before it will start. When it does this instead of cranking, cycle the key to on then off 4 or 5 times before cranking if it starts right up theirs a 99% chance a new fuel pump will be needed to correct the problem.
